New I-Motion Expert-T From Movecat

Movecat (Distributor: Think Abele) presented a number of new products at the recent ProLight+Sound show in Frankfurt. These included the I-Motion Expert-T, a new product for the systemic control of kinetic drives for large or complex projects. Developed for applications of up to 240 drives, all applications with fixed or variable speeds can be controlled and monitored. There is also the option of integrating existing drives and other types of stage machinery.

Via the I-Motion network, the controller supervises and controls the Movecat MPC-4148/C1 and V-Motion Power controllers. A user-optimized backlit input keyboard with tactile feedback and a multi-functional operating button combine with a 'flippable' 19" touch screen to afford intuitive, efficient and safe access to all the important control and drive parameters.

The Motion Power Controller 41C1-I is an intelligent controller unit in a 19" metal case three rack units in height designed for Movecat's OMK and VMK hoists complying with BGV C1. Movecat is now shipping the controller with new software offering an expanded range of functions.

Movecat was also presenting a dynamic real-time load measuring system (LMS) with a newly developed independent calibration process. The LMS can be used as an excess load system for suspension points or to complement Movecat motorized chain hoists. The system is available for loads from 500kg to 1,000kg in D8 and C1 configurations.

Among the VMK hoists with variable speed, Movecat has added two new models to its range. The VMK-L is an economical basic version with standard brakes, whilst the VMK-S is a low-noise version with noiseless brakes.
