ACIR Professional  co-founders Ed DiBona, John Grasso, and partner Tom Young pulled out all the stops on March 4, 2008 as they celebrated the official opening of their new location in southern New Jersey.

With over 80 guests in attendance, including several of the manufacturers and distributors they represent like Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. and SK MacDonald (Shure), staff from ACIR Pro demonstrated complete sound and lighting system set ups in several areas of their premises, including d&b and Work audio line array systems, Yamaha PM5DV2, M7CL, and LS9 digital consoles as well as Yamaha IF Series speakers, P, and Tn amps.

The new space will also be used for product training, with a mid-July date tentatively set for a microphone session with Bob Heil. “We are quite impressed with the expansion of the ACIR Pro facility,” comments Bob Quinones, district manager, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. “The three partners are well established within the audio community they serve and we welcome them to the Yamaha Commercial Audio dealer network.”

With recent advancements in technology, it is important to stay at the forefront of product availability. “Designing a sound system isn’t just a science—it takes highly qualified, talented individuals to ensure that the end user customer is kept in mind,” states partner Tom Young. “Attention to details by our staff puts ACIR Pro in a class of its own.” Young is also the live sound engineer for Tony Bennett and an independent sound system designer. The facility also houses a contracting product demonstration area for installation systems design.

ACIR Pro has a vast backline inventory and has supported rentals to national, international and regional touring performers in arenas, performing arts venues and theaters, most notably in New York City at the Waldorf Astoria, the Count Basie Theater in New Jersey, and the Atlantic City casino communities, to name a few. With a full line of guitars and percussion products on display, musicians are encouraged to stop by try out the latest gear. The company also provides lighting packages from full conventional rigs to intelligent lighting. “We can fulfill the needs of any musical requirement be it band, production or theatrical,” notes DiBona. “The condition of our equipment is pristine including our expansive assortment of vintage gear.”

ACIR Professional also provides in-house and 24/7 technical support and coordinates on-site product training for sales installations. “We pride ourselves in our sales and rental services,” states Grasso. “Our relationships with the manufacturers we represent enable us to provide prompt product delivery to our customers’ doorstep.”

ACIR Pro will co-sponsor Yamaha digital console training to be held at the Atlantic City Hilton Theater on May 27, 2008 beginning at 10 am. Attendance is free and open to all engineers, whether new to digital or interested in an advanced course on Yamaha PM5DV2, M7CL, and LS-9 consoles.
