Sound Product of the Year, Speaker: Meyer Sound UPQ Speakers

Meyer Sound’s UPQ speakers debuted last year with the UPQ-1P wide-coverage model and extended to the narrow coverage UPQ-2P, both members of the UltraSeries family of loudspeakers. The self-powered UPQ-1P loudspeaker has an extended low frequency with an overall 55Hz to 18kHz frequency range. The UPQ-2P, also self-powered, has a high-power output and low distortion, as well as a focused beam width, making it suitable for small to mid-sized venues, houses of worship, theatres, and nightclubs. “Another useful item in our toolbox,” one judge states.
