Ross Video Launches Fiber I/O For Vision QMD/X Switcher Line
Vision QMD/X is the first production switcher line from Ross Video to offer Fiber I/O as an option. Visions’ inputs and outputs can now be individually configured as Coaxial HD-SDI or Fiber Optic connections. The new feature is multi-format and can accept all popular SD and HD resolutions.
The Fiber I/O feature is available on the extremely compact Vision QMD 3RU 4ME chassis, and the Vision QMD-X 4 ME chassis, right up to 96 inputs and 48 outputs.
“For many installations the 100 meter limit of HD-SDI over coax was just too limiting,” says David Ross, CEO. “We’re pleased to lead the way with this new and innovative fiber solution.”
