Pandoras Box From coolux Media Systems To Receive Engineering Honors At 2008 Primetime Emmy Award Ceremony

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has awarded coolux Media Systems an Engineering Plaque in recognition of outstanding achievement in engineering development for the Pandoras Box™ real-time compositing media server. coolux Media Systems GmbH President Jan Huewel will be honored for this accomplishment during the 2008 Primetime Emmy® Engineering Awards ceremony on Aug. 23, at the Renaissance Hotel in Los Angeles.

"Pandoras Box is a turnkey solution that perfectly unites state-of-the-art rendering technology with intuitive media control, and we're tremendously honored that the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has recognized the engineering ingenuity involved in developing this unique and very powerful solution," says Steve Gilbard, president of coolux International.

The Engineering Plaque is presented for those achievements that exhibit a high level of engineering and are important to the progress of the industry. The four plaques awarded this year serve as a positive recognition of engineering achievements that are on a different level of technology and industry importance than the Emmy Award.

Pandoras Box Media Server features a 4K workspace in dual channels of 2K HD/SD outputs for on-air and pre- and post-production. Designed to enable creativity in multimedia design that is no longer subordinate to technical limitations, the 3D compositing and rendering system from coolux Media Systems provides real-time on-location media control that is customizable to the needs of each client and project. The software allows users to arrange video and images freely; change the color, form and position of images; synchronize 3D sound; or animate 3D objects.
