Michael Kohler has come up with a clever iPhone-based app to help projection designers do basic projection-related calculations, plus keystoning, working out lenses, etc.

Its primary purpose is to determine the size of a projected image based on given information about the projector and location. Its streamlined interface expedites the process of determining projector placement and rough calculations for brightness and resolution.

"ProjectorCalc is a handy little application that calculates nearly all the math needed to determine important factors such as correct projector placement, proper lens ratio, and keystone information," says one judge. As Jake Pinholster said in reviewing the app on our website, "I never expected an app to target projection design so directly, but ProjectorCalc is spot on."
