Super Vision International, Inc. (NASDAQ:SUPVA) launched two new SSL products in its new SaVi™ line of super high-output LED lighting: an ultra bright interior/exterior LED floodlight and an underwater LED pool light, each capable of simultaneously generating any of 16 million colors, including varying shades of white.

The SaVi Line is exclusively designed around Lamina Ceramics' internationally award-winning chip-on-board packaging technology, which enables multiple LEDs to be clustered very closely together, resulting in very high light output in a very small footprint. Lamina has secured a design-in and purchase contract for the SaVi line. “The SaVi product line is proof that the benefits of solid state lighting are not something to be realized in the future--they're here today," says Taylor Adair, president and CEO of Lamina Ceramics.

Both products feature fully dimmable, independent control of their respective RGB color channels using DMX-512 protocol. This enables instantaneous switching and blending of any of 16 million colors. DMX-controllable color effects include static colors, cross fade, chasing, and single color rotation.

SaVi™ SHO Floodlight
The SaVi™ SHO commercial grade floodlight is designed for interior/exterior architectural and entertainment lighting applications. With 72 individual LEDS flooding light in pure-colored, digitally-controllable precision, the SaVi™ SHO incorporates 12 BL-4000 RGB+ LED light engines powered by Lamina, each containing two red, two green and two blue LEDS in a single cavity. Smaller than a US nickel, the BL-4000 RGB+ was awarded Best Technical Innovation (a top honor) after it had earned Best of Category at LightFair International 2005. It has a total available output of 1,400 lumens, making it is as bright as most of the 100W tungsten and many 100W halogen single-color floodlights (PAR38 type). Its self-contained, auto-switching power supply runs on regular line voltages.

SaVi™ Pool Light
Super Vision's new SaVi™ Pool Light is the cornerstone of an entire new line of products the company calls Symphony of Light™. This package features a programming system to create an entire backyard LED lighting experience, by controlling an entire system of pool lights, spa lights, water features, XStream™ laminars, landscape lighting, patio and other backyard feature lights.

Super Vision's SaVi Pool Light incorporates Lamina's BL-3000 RGB+ LED light engine. Its 39 cavities, each populated with multiple LEDs, produce 306 total available lumens. Available in both 120V and 12V, the SaVi Pool Light fits easily into a standard spa niche.

"We are very excited about this new product platform and the breakthrough IP on which it is based," says Mike Bauer, vice president of sales and marketing at Super Vision [Bauer becomes President and CEO of Super Vision on January 1, 2006.].
