What I'm Using Now...LD Assistant AC 04
I can't begin to tell you the amount of hours that I spend sitting in front of my computer doing design work. Design software is a critical element in my day-to-day business. About a year ago, I made a decision to go full speed ahead with AutoCAD. Since the majority of my work is permanent installation work, the DWG format is critical for me. After much research, I finally decided to purchase LD Assistant AC 04 from Design and Drafting. Not only does it allow me to design in the native DWG format, but it also acts as a previsualization tool. I can now draft one single document and generate all of my paperwork and previz a show or installation without having to redraft in another program. This added feature saves me countless hours of work and still allows me to share files with other architects and designers that they can view and manipulate with ease. I can also add volumetric effects to my lighting for more photo realistic renderings directly out of LD Assistant. This software has been a huge timesaver and great presentation tool for my clients.
