Genlyte Control Holds Level 2 Systems Technician Training

On January 24-26, 2006, Genlyte Controls will host a Level 2 Systems Technician Training to take place from 9am to 5pm at the Genlyte Controls home office, 10911 Petal Street, Dallas, TX, 75238. This detailed and informative training class is designed to further educate field service technicians on a variety of theatrical and architectural dimming and controls products from Entertainment Technology and Lightolier® Controls.

The class will cover the advanced programming and troubleshooting of Capio™ Plus centralized dimming racks, Intelligent Raceway™ distributed dimming system, Intelligent Power System™ distributed dimming products, Vista DMX control, Horizon DMX interface and control, Marquee® lighting control consoles, Pathport, System Networking, and the LYTEmode™ Architectural Lighting Control System.

In order to attend the training class, the following skills are necessary: the ability to solder, read schematics, interpret shop and job drawings, program lighting consoles, and basic knowledge of DMX512 control wiring and computer networking. Attendees should also have basic computer skills, an understanding of the Windows® operating systems, and a laptop computer with Windows® 2000 or better as the operating system.

The training class is free to attendees, and lunch will be provided each day at the factory. Attendees will be responsible for airfare, hotel, and any other incidental expenses. Early registration is recommended as space is limited and seats fill up fast.
