New High End Products Abound at LDI

The Studio Command automated wash luminaire, Catalyst® v4, the DL2™ digital light, and the Wholehog® 3 Expansion Wing will be on prominent display at High End Systems booth #2085. The new Studio Command™ automated wash luminaire, which debuted recently at PLASA, features dichroic color-mixing with a MSR 700 or MSR 700/2 source and began shipping in September. With a small footprint and light weight (55 pounds), it’s the perfect addition to any lighting rig, be it in theatre, concert touring, corporate show, house of worship, and other places where a powerful wash light is needed.

Catalyst® v4, which sneak-previewed at PLASA, supports high-def and LEDs, adds new effects and lots more. Plus it controls without DMX. Watch the demo and see how it can help you in your next project.

Meanwhile, the DL2™ digital light adds 3-D thrills to any event. The digital automated lighting fixture features an integrated media server and a Sony video camera and illuminator. It began shipping recently and can currently be seen on Sheryl Crow's Wildflowertour, which will be featured in the premiere issue of Live Design in December.

Over in Hog world, Wholehog® 3 users will want to get their hands on the Expansion Wing. The unit adds 40 additional playbacks. Hog® iPC will also be on the scene as well, showing its support of three monitors.

In the High End Systems people news department, co-founder and chief technology officer Richard Belliveau is receiving the Wally Russell Award for his technological developments in the lighting industry. It all happens Saturday, Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. during the ETS-LDI Awards in the Orange County Convention Center. High-tail it to the awards area early and toast to Richard -- on behalf of High End Systems, a sponsor of the event.

Be sure to pick up individual product brochures on each of the above while visiting the High End Systems booth, or catch it at your convenience on the web at www.highend.com.
