Barco introduces Eco-mode for its OL series of LED-lit rear-projection video walls. In addition to a new liquid cooling feature, Barcomode boosts the lifetime of the LEDs to 75,000 hours, or more than eight and a half years of continuous operation, according to the company.

While tests have shown that LED lifetime is significantly extended by efficient cooling, traditional cooling methods such as fans and air can be insufficient to bring the LED temperature down enough. Barco’s liquid cooling in video walls, combined with the Eco-mode, optimizes the video wall's luminance and brings temperature down to the optimal level.
