Dizzy Gosnell and Leonard Cox Celebrate 20 Years at Bandit

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE- Bandit Lites recently held its Annual General Meeting to commemorate the previous incredible year, discuss the upcoming goals and plans for 2014 and honor those in the Bandit family who displayed outstanding and diligent workmanship.

Several Bandits celebrated milestone years with the company. Those celebrating five years included Erich Hudgens, John Jenkinson, Chas Albea, Judy Blair and Shawn Lear. Jeff Archibeque, Jason Workman and Edwin Swart received recognition for ten years with Bandit, while Matt King and Andy Knighton were recognized for fifteen years of service with Bandit.

Dizzy Gosnell and Leonard Cox both received service awards for 20 years with Bandit. Dizzy works tirelessly at Bandit’s San Francisco office and is responsible for Bandit’s continued involvement with Widespread Panic, Jimmy Buffett, CSNY, The Moody Blues, multiple festivals including Bonnaroo, Firefly Festival and Governor’s Ball as well as many other clients.

Michael T. Strickland, Bandit Chair said, “Diz, Pete Heffernan and I all met on Iron Maiden in Europe in 1982. We have remained close friends ever since. Diz joined Bandit in 1993 and has been an invaluable part of the management team ever since. I cannot imagine Bandit today without Dizzy. He is as much a part of the Bandit fabric as I am.”

Leonard Cox, initially hired part time to help build the first PD (Power Distribution Rack) that Bandit designed and built for Garth Brooks’ tour, has established himself as a conscientious and tireless member of the Bandit team in charge of the entire company’s logistics and safety measures.

Strickland said, “Leonard came to us through a friend as a part time employee. He at once embraced the life style and the family atmosphere and decided he wanted to join the team. Being former military and police, Leonard brought a sense of organization and control all with a calm head. He is loved by all and can repair nearly anything you ask him to!”

Other awards presented included Bandit’s “Rock” Award, the illustrious award bestowed to those who went above and beyond in the previous year. Recipients included Brent Barrett and Chuck Hastings. Additionally, Tyler Veneziano was awarded the “Best Best Tech,” an honor voted on by Bandit’s staff.
