White Light Diode Lasers For Coldplay’s South American Tour
As an extension to their Twisted Logic Tour, Coldplay recently capped off a three-week tour in South America. Laser Design Productions Inc. provided laser effects with their new compact 5-watt air-cooled white light diode laser system.
The 11-show tour traveled to Santiago, Chili; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Sao Paolo, Brazil; and Mexico City, Mexico. Mark Ward, Coldplay’s production manager, says, “The South American The South American Tour was a huge success.”
The new technology laser was a great solution to the production team’s concerns about equipment size, weight, power consumption, and venue water limitations. It provided both multicolor atmospheric and beam effects.
Ward adds, “It’s a great product great crew what more could I ask. It looks f’n brilliant by the way.”
