FREDERICKSBURG, VA - Harkness Screens, the world's leading manufacturer of projection screens for cinema applications, is pleased to announce the re-launch of its website, www.harkness-screens.com. The site, which features a brand new interface and content, also includes Harkness' new Digital Screen Selector application.

Designed to identify cost-effective solutions for digital cinema conversion, the Digital Screen Selector uses industry-accepted standards and vendor data to compare different operating scenarios. The Selector is intended to be a guide for theatre operators when consulting with projector, lamp, and 3D technology providers.

"Our current website has been in place for many years. As our business has evolved over the years, we felt the need not just to define better what we do for those visiting the site, but to also improve the content organization for all of our customers and partners" says Jeff Samitt, Harkness Screens group director, sales & marketing. "In today's world the majority of product research originates on the internet so it was essential to get the Harkness website updated to clearly show what products and services we now offer, provide easily accessible technical resources, and better articulate our brand and unique value proposition."

On the new website, visitors will be able to find information broken down by market segment as well as detailed product information and technical resources. Harkness news and events, company history and contact information is all available as well.

"It was very important to us that we designed a website that was not only easy to navigate, but also provided visitors with a good first impression," adds Samitt. "We wanted to showcase everything we have to offer. The new site has a lot of personality to it. It's a great new look and feel that clearly defines what we do."
