Iroquois, Ontario, Canada – August 11, 2009 – Ross Video announced today that ABC Television has placed a major order for Ross openGearâ„¢ 3Gbps capable Fiber interconnect, Frames, Distribution Amplifiers, Audio/Video Multiplexers and Demultiplexers (Mux/Demux) with Dashboardâ„¢ control and monitoring application, for the new HD Central Switching Center (CSC) facility in New York. The CSC facility will be the primary central routing and signal processing installation for all of ABC's inbound feeds, internal routing and distribution, and quality control monitoring.

The new openGear DataSafe feature stores all card parameters on the local frame network card. In the event of a card change, settings can be automatically restored, minimizing costly downtime, especially important in installations of 1,000 cards plus like ABC.”
