Bandit Lights Luke Bryan on Good Morning America

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE– Hundreds of country music fans gathered around a stage lit by Bandit Lites to cheer on three-time CMA nominee Luke Bryan as he shook it for Good Morning America and host Robin Roberts. The event was held in front of the Bridgestone Arena the morning of the 47th Annual Country Music Awards.

With the show being filmed primarily for television, the lighting rig was fitted with LED fixtures, allowing for a wider range of color choices and effects, as well as allowing viewers to see the source of the light opposed to just the ambient glow and single color of a standard par can. Lighting designer Mark Carver used GLP X4S fixtures, Bandit 5x5s, GRN LED moving washes, GRNLite LED 6 lampbars and a Road Hog console on the stage.

"We had GRN Par lamp bars upstage as well as midstage with GRN moving washes in between, we also had five towers consisting of Bandit 5x5s and GLP X4S’s along with six more GRN Moving Wash fixtures in-between ,” explained lighting director Craig Richter. “Everyone was very happy with the outcome and Mark was thrilled with his decision to make the change to LED fixtures this year; it really ended up looking great on television.”

“There are always events you look forward to each year and working with Mark Carver on the GMA stage the morning of the CMA Awards is definitely one that I enjoy,” said Bandit’s vice-president, Mike Golden. “Mark is always fantastic to work with and this job is certainly no exception”.

Bryan treated the audience to three songs, including I Don’t Want This Night to End, Crash My Party and That’s My Kind of Night, while Roberts announced Tim McGraw’s Highway Don’t Care won Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year.
