Star Trek The Tour Says "Beam me up Pandora!"
Star Trek The Tour opened at the Queen Mary Dome in Long Beach, California on Friday January 18, 2008 and will run through February 17th.
Over the next five years and in 40 cities across North America, a 50,000-square-foot interactive tribute to the Star Trek 40-year-plus cultural phenomenon will be on tour.
Coolux supplied 15 Pandoras Box MediaServers, three MediaPlayers, and eight individual MediaManager Showcontrol systems are in use to control the individual interactive shows, rides, and displays with a total of 30 projectors and six HD displays. The exhibitions highlight is the Encounter Theatre, an immersive 360-degree, 3D projection motion-ride theatre with 16 projectors and multichannel 7.1 audio playback featuring the upcoming Sonic Emotion multichannel audio plugin for Pandoras Box MediaManager. All Lighting, timecode, TCP/ IP, and sensor data interaction is driven and controlled by Pandoras Box featuring the new SMPTE and sensor link interfaces.
