E/T/C Paris To Project At 2008 Bordeaux Wine Festival

Large format projection specialists E/T/C Paris will supply video expertise to create 656-foot wide seamless video images on the18th century Place de la Bourse as the highlight of the 10th Bordeaux Wine Festival.

E/T/C will utilize its multimedia production and display control platform, OnlyView, with 4 Christie Roadie 25K and 3 Christie Roadster S+20 projectors to cover an area of approximately 13,000-square feet. The high definition video will be in excess of 12 million pixels—a resolution 6 times greater than that of professional HD digital video.

The show, entitled Hommages, is a collaboration between E/T/C, video designers and producers Cosmo AV, and audio experts Les Ateliers Lumière. The imagery for Hommages will be produced by Jacques Nougaret, Pierre-Yves Toulot and José Christiani from Cosmo AV. These three companies were awarded the contract to create and realise the show following a public tender issued by the Bordeaux Tourism and Events Office.

The 25 minute son et lumière, complete with a special soundtrack, will close each of the last three evenings of the famous bi-annual Wine Festival (June 27th to the 29th). It pays tribute to the historical and cultural significance of Bordeaux’s global reputation as one of the finest wine producing regions in the world, and backs the City’s bid to be European Capital of Culture in 2013.
