The Latest Gear to be Displayed at Broadway Master Classes

All New York area lighting, sound, and projection professionals are cordially invited to attend the special Manufacturers’ Showcase sessions at this year’s Broadway Lighting and Sound Master Classes, to be held Monday, June 20 through Friday June 24 at Tribeca Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. This is a great opportunity to check out new gear and network with industry leaders.

For the BLMC, the Lighting Manufacturers’ Showcase will be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, June 20-21-22. Monday’s showcase will coincide with a cocktail reception from 4:30 to 6:30; the Showcases on Tuesday and Wednesday will be coincide with lunch breaks and run from noon to 2 p.m. Lighting manufacturers showing their latest gear include 4Wall Entertainment, A.C. Lighting, A.C.T Lighting, Altman Lighting, Apollo Design Technology, Barco, City Theatrical, Compulite Systems, Doug Fleenor Design, Inc., Electronic Theatre Controls, Entertainment Technology, Field Template, High End Systems, InLight Gobos, Lee Filters USA, Martin Professional, PRG, Rosco, Scharff Weisberg, Selecon, Strand Lighting, Strong International, Thematics LLC, TMB, and Vari-Lite.

The faculty for this year’s BLMC includes Jules Fisher, Peggy Eisenhauer, Clifton Taylor, Bev Emmons, Don Holder, Brian MacDevitt, Vivien Leone, and Wendall K. Harrington plus a special panel on how LDs and scenic designers work together featuring John Lee Beatty, David Gallo, Heidi Ettinger, and David Korins.

For the BSMC, the Sound Manufacturers’ Showcase will be held Thursday, June 23rd from 4:00 to 5:30pm, coinciding with a cocktail reception, and Friday, June 24th from 12:00-2:00pm, coinciding with a lunch break. Audio exhibitors showing their latest gear include Autograph A2D, d&b audiotechnik, DiGiCo, EAW, EM Acoustics, Lake Technology, Lectrosonics, Level Control Systems, Meyer Sound, NEXO, Opticore, Pram, Riedel Communications, RF Pro, TiMax, Trantec, and Yamaha.

The faculty for this year’s BSMC includes Abe Jacob, Larry Estrin, Peter Hylinski, Brian Ronan, John Kilgore, Robin Whitaker, Sam Berkow, Richard Bugg, and Peter Fitzgerald.

For the Projection Master Classes, the Projection Manufacturer’s Showcase will be held on Thursday June 23rd, from noon to 2:00pm, coinciding with a lunch break. On Friday, June 24th, those wishing to attend a special product demo should meet at Scharff-Weisberg’s headquarters at 29-09 37th Avenue in Long Island City. Buses will take attendees from the Tribeca Performing Arts Center to Long Island City from 8:30 to 9:30am, and back into Manhattan at 4:30pm. Projection exhibitors showing their latest gear include Barco, High End Systems, Martin, Rosco, PRG, Scharff Weisberg, and TMB.
