Star Wars: In Concert
Steven Cohen’s production design and direction come together, with Seth Jackson as associate production designer and sound designer Fred Volger, for Star Wars:In Concert, an orchestra tour of music from the six films, with gear from Main Light, iPix, Martin Professional, Meyer Sound, Coemar, Robe, Vari-Lite, Elation, Le Maitre, and more. Essence Music Festival
Stefan Beese shares his process of creating a production design for the Essence Music Festival, a three-day concert and cultural seminar series held in the Louisiana Superdome and Louis Armstrong Convention Center. His designs included gear from vendors Visibility Media, XL Video, and Premier Global Element Labs, and equipment from Barco, High End Systems, Hibino, SAMSC, Martin Professional, Novalight, Coemar, ETC, MA Lighting, and more.
EVENT
Opening Of Ukraine’s Donbass Arena
K-Events produced a huge show to inaugurate the new 50,000-seat Donbass Arena, home pitch of Ukraine soccer team Shakhtar, in Donetsk. The Italian audio and lighting contractor provided an array of hardware for the event, which featured Beyoncé, local talent, and folk groups, as well as a cast of thousands, with gear from L’Acoustics, Meyer Sound, Martin Professional, Coemar, Clay Paky, Robe, Vari-Lite, and more.
