FELA! on Broadway
The new musical presented by Jay-Z and Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, FELA! uses Afrobeat music to tell the story of Fela Anikulapo–Kuti’s controversial life as artist, political activist, and revolutionary musician. Along with director/choreographer Bill T. Jones, the creative team includes lighting designer Robert Wierzel, sound designer Robert Kaplowitz, projection designer Peter Nigrini, and scenic/costume designer Marina Draghici. Equipment includes gear from PRG, Crest, d&b, Apogee, Lap Gruppen, QSC, Yamaha, EAW, EM Acoustics, L'Acoustics, XTA Electronics, Crown, Sennheiser, Shure, Neumann, and more.
