EVENT
Autodesk University
Autodesk’s motto, “Experience It before It’s Real” was the inspiration behind the 2007 annual user’s conference, Autodesk University, which brought together 9500 attendees at the Venetian Resort & Casino this past November in Las Vegas. LMG provided video, audio, and lighting gear from manufacturers including Digital Projection, Sony, Screenworks, Panasonic, Snell & Wilcox, Thompson, Cannon, Barco Folsom, Digico, Meyer Sound, Shure, Countryman, AKG, Sennheiser, XTA, L-ACOUSTICS, and EV.

CONCERT
Bon Jovi
The team at Artfag has designed a new leg for Bon Jovi’s tour, with Spike Brandt at the helm as designer and Justin Collie as show director, Kosher Pixels providing original content treatments, and set construction by Tait Towers. Gear includes equipment from Green Hippo, Control Freak, Barco Folsom, High End Systems, Elation, Vari-Lite, ETC, Martin Professional, Color Kinetics, Quazar, Lycian, Grass Valley, MA Lighting, and more.

THEATRE
A Catered Affair
A Catered Affair has opened on Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre, with sets by David Gallo, sound by Dan Moses Schreier, lighting by Brian MacDevitt, and projections by Zachary Borovay. PRG is the main supplier, including scenery and scenic effects, show and motion control, and lighting, sound and video equipment.

VENUE
The TimesCenter Stage
The Kennedy Center staged all ten of August Wilson's Century Cycle plays in a festival the venue calls "staged readings," with seven different directors and Kenny Leon as artistic director. David Gallo designed sets, with Reggie Ray on costumes and Allen Lee Hughes on lighting. Gear was a mix of house systems, as well as supplemented gear, including equipment from Vari-Lite, Stage Research, MOTU, NTI, Lexicon, and more.

ROUNDTABLE
Projection Designers
Bob Bonniol leads a lively discussion of projection designers and visualists—including Tim Girvin, Michael Cotton, and Caryl Glaab—exploring creative instinct and the source of that instinct.

HOW I DID THAT
Gallo Winery 75th Anniversary Event
Michael Stiller created a one-of-a kind 75th anniversary distributors’ conference at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand for client HKM productions for E&J Gallo Winery, providing lighting and media in a live-to-tape television design that included speaker sessions, live entertainment, and dinner for 1,500. Joseph Kale designed the set, including gear from Barco, PRG, MA Lighting, and more. The lighting rig was supplied by 4Wall.
